KEY ASPECTS OF THE CPD PROGRAM
Course Content
Our well-researched courses combine theory and practice, offering an engaging learning experience. Participants benefit from essential readings, audio-video resources, reflective questions, self-assessment tasks, assignments, quizzes, and interactive activities, ensuring a comprehensive approach to learning.
Collaborative Learning
Our CPD programs foster collaborative learning, where participants learn from each other through sharing, discussion, reflection, and questioning. We create learning groups and provide platforms and opportunities for the learners to interact and clarify their doubts. This is done through online conference calls, meetings, discussion forums, and WhatsApp/Telegram groups.
CPD for Teachers
We also design a comprehensive CPD program for teachers, which includes training workshops, short blended courses, monthly peer learning meetings, mentor visits with feedback, teacher Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and WhatsApp-based bite-sized resources.
Ongoing Support through Mentors and Peers
Our courses offer mentoring support, varying from full to partial depending on the design. Mentors create a favourable learning environment, facilitate learning, assess participant performance, and provide crucial feedback and support. Some of our course alumni also serve as mentors in specific courses.
Flexible Course Options for Teachers
Sessions are delivered through a combination of online and in-person components that teachers can choose and customized to suit their needs. The programs are designed with varying duration to suit teachers-ranging from 1 year and 3 months to 1 year- 1 month, as well as shorter, bite-sized courses.
All the courses are implemented in collaboration with the State Government (SSA, SCERT, or DIETs).
We use different platforms for hosting these courses, Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS), state DIKSHA platform, UNICEF’s Unilearn platform and WhatsApp.

“One significant improvement as a result of the Prarmbhik bhasha shikshan course 2016 is the increase in interactive reading in my class. I have understood better what goes into pre reading, during reading and post reading. Now I encourage children to make predictions, I ask questions to stimulate their higher order thinking, I connect their reading with writing tasks and much more. I had never thought about these lines earlier! In fact, now I also ensure a print rich class for my children, even if it means that I need to spend from my own pocketThe resource materials shared in the course are useful for my classroom. There are good readings and videos. I liked the self-evaluation part in the modules which helps to evaluate myself and confirm my understanding.”
Pushpa Shukla Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School Sahispara Rajim, Chhattisgarh“This course has served as a stepping stone from me . I had been teaching language for many years but the course gave a new direction and perspective of language teaching . Not only had it helped me flourish as language teacher but also as a language resource person for the state and the district. I have formed a Professional Learning Community by the name ‘Neev’ through which I am trying to bring about a change in the language teaching of the teachers of my district. “
Ms. Alpa Nigam Head Teacher, Primary School Tilauli, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh“My experience as a course participant has been remarkable. The course talks about language, its importance and strategies of teaching language. The course is delivered through introductory calls, main calls, tasks, quizzes, assignments and discussion forums. The course has helped me teach my children with the learning I have gained.”
